Diorex snaps Diorex.com and relaunches his blog!

Diorex.wordpress.com was without peer in the affiliate marketing niche. This guy who calls himself ‘Diorex’ is the stuff that mentors and role models are made off. Each of his posts was gold and it was evident that he spent quality time writing them and that he had a mountain of experience to draw upon. When his blog went down, the affiliate marketing world cried. People started scrambling to retrieve old google archives of his posts, collecting them in word documents and printing them off for reference later - such was the richness of gold in his words.

Last month, I had noticed that diorex.com was about to expire and I had a novel plan to replubish all of diorex’s lost posts on it. Unfortunately, just like losing out on the problogger.com domain, my conviction was no where near strong enough. Turns out though that Diorex had not totally hanged up his boots and he actually backordered this domain himself… lo and behold… I bring you the Diorex blog relaunched at DIOREX.COM..!

5 mistakes people make when seeing their doctor

This article from CNN is on 5 mistakes women make at the doctor’s office but I think it pretty much applies to everyone.

doctor patient

  1. Women Patients don’t question doctors: Being at the doctors always makes you feel inferior because you’re not in the profession. I always do my research before going to the doctors. Most of the time my self google diagnosis is spot on. I never tell the doctor I’ve googled though. I always let him/her make their diagnosis first and then just probe a bit more with what I’ve learnt on google.
  2. Women Patients tend to over-research: Okay, I’ve never brought in printouts from the web. Never make the doctor look stupid.
  3. Women Patients don’t recognize gender bias: There’s a lot of bias in society. Sometimes it’s not just gender. Sometimes, they just don’t like you. It’s important to find a doctor you can trust and have a good professional relationship with.
  4. Women Patients interpret their own symptoms: Let the doctor make their own judgement and don’t lead them astray. Answer all his questions as a matter of fact. I have a nurse friend who actually goes to the doctors and always makes her situation sound worst then it actually is. This is not a bad strategy as it will get you more checkups. You can never be too careful.
  5. The mother of all mistakes: Women Patients don’t trust their intuition: You read of misdiagnosis all the time. Kylie Minogue’s breast cancer was missed the first time round by her GP. My mum’s cancer was missed by hers aswell. Always seek a second or third medical opinion if you feel that somethings not right.
