2insure4less: Compare Insurance Quotes

I got this reviewme offer a few days ago and with an almost childish domain like 2insure4less, I thought it would be just another cookie-cut website like the home finding book.

A quick search on google seemed to confirm this. The first results page simply had a few PR releases on urlwire, prwebdirect, aboutcorporate, and even an unknown Christy’s Coffee Break blog made it on.

I was thinking, man, I’ve got to stop doing reviews on meaningless sites like this. Then, I came across UnknownSavings.com. It is a whole domain put online for one single purpose… to act as a landing page to refer people to 2insure4less.com.

Exclusive Information
FROM A REPUTABLE SOURCE
“Don’t Buy Any Life Insurance Product… Until You Read This Information. Don’t Let Yourself Get Ripped Off!”
And NO, it’s NOT about selling you any specific life insurance product. You can, and in fact You MUST choose by yourself!

Hmm.. pretty neat seeing someone else’s landing page. To you and me, that screams major sneaky untrustworthy sales pitch. To ordinary people searching for insurance quotes though, it’s meant to act as a trustworthy source to make 2insure4less seem more legit. I remember many moons ago when I was a naive, innocent, internet surfer, and I must admit landing pages like this did indeed suck me into a purchase or two. The links on unknownsavings.com are affiliate links. ie. they track your click and if you end up filling up a form on 2insure4less, the affliate gets paid a commission for the ‘lead’.

Further research into who is behind 2insure4less led me to a Californian company named ITSOL inc (I’m guessing that stands for IT solutions inc). They have two other websites under their umbrella:

  1. QuotesAuction
  2. LeadsClearance

ITSOL has actually been awarded a certificate from Google thanking them for using the Adwords program to generate 1 million leads. This means that ITSOL has spent enough money on Google to pay for 1 million clicks. That’s pretty huge when you think about it. Even if you assume a super low rate of 10cents per click, they would have had to pay $10 million dollars. There’s some serious money behind this. I can only assume that this insurance leads business can be very profitable.

ITSOL business strategy statement provides great insight into how they operate:

Our balanced internet marketing strategy is a combination of adword campaigns, natural ranking through search engine content optimization, and a growing affiliate partners’ network delivering a steadily growing volume of quality prospects.

Rigorous quality control comprised of an automated screening of bad names, phone numbers and emails; followed by auto-dialer technology and hot transfers of live prospects to insurance agents, has resulted in the highest quality leads in the business, sold to fewer buyers, at the most competitive prices, further contributing to client satisfaction, loyalty and growth.

I initially accepted this reviewme paid offer for Auto Insurance Quotes because I just wanted to put another $5 into the kitty but having done a thorough investigation into the site, I feel I’ve actually learnt more than a thing or two about making money online. Kudos to ReviewMe. It’s advertiser community is proving to be a great source of info for me :)

Again, being Australian, 2insure4less quotes are useless for me. Let me know, though, if it proves to be a good tool for you. Maybe I’ll email them to become an affiliate :P haha
