My web host is restricting multiple ftp connections at the moment and it’s making it impossible for me to upload files to the server. This means that upgrading wordpress is next to impossible. Luckily, Techie-Buzz has just written a wordpress plugin that automates the upgrade process for you (why doesn’t wordpress have this option by default??)
The WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin ftp’s the latest wordpress zip onto your server, backs up your database, and upgrades your wordpress to the latest and greatest version. I’ve used it twice now, once on Maltese Dog, and again today on Enwikopedia. Works like a gem.
By the way, has anyone noticed that Maltese Dog is now in the top 100 google result for “Maltese Dog”? Woohoo..!
