Can a blog about making money, actually make money? I’m about to find out. First of all, you’ll notice the new, cleaner layout with a three column design to maximise the adsense positioning on the first ‘fold’ of the page. (The first fold is the area of the page you can see without having to scroll down.) Next was to select the right combination of adsense formats that you see before you. In the couple of hours I spent on refurbishing the site, I made $1 from Adsense! A great improvement already :D

So, Jerry’s tips on making money online:

1. Get yourself a domain and a host.
   
   
   Don’t use subdomain.someotherhost.com because you want to establish your own brand name. A reliable host is important. You should be able to contact them easily and they should have a decent uptime. No point paying for a host that’s down half the time.
   
   

2. Sign up to Google Adsense:

   
   
   Adsense is great. All you do is focus on getting visitors and Adsense takes care of the rest. In most cases, it will at least cover for your domain and hosting. One word of warning, though, make sure you comply to Google’s terms of service. Google has been known to investigate an terminate violating accounts!
