There’s a new way to make money online. It’s all about riding the massive blog wave at the moment. They say 300 blogs are started every minute of the year. If you can start a blog, spend some time really promoting it and writing good content each day like it’s your full time job, you could potentially sell it after a few months for a handy sum.
The first time I heard of this was over at CashQuests.com with their post about CareerRamblings being sold for $20,000. CareerRamblings started in Nov 06 so it took them about half a year to get to that mark. Now theorectically, if you got good at it, you could manage 3 or 4 of these sites simultaneously. In one year, you’d be able to turn over 8 blogs. $20,000 x 8 would net you a tidy $160,000 per annum… all just for jotting down your thoughts and spending a whole heap of time online… which most of us already do anyway… how nice is that?!
Now back to CashQuests.com… I’ve noticed that there’s been a lot of changes to that blog. The whole pink theme’s gone, comments have been turned off, and if I’m not wrong the writing style’s changed every so slightly. My hunch is that Kumiko (I bet that’s not ever her (or his) real name - yes, blogs written by girls get more attention!) has sold her CashQuests.com..! Have a read and make up your own mind.

There have always been several fishy things regarding the whole Kumiko thing. I commented months and months ago that I had strong doubts as to whether or not she was who she said she/he was.
My opinion still stands that she is not. And since the comments have been turned off, it’s a pretty good sign that whoever is running the site now does not want to answer questions about it or communicate with readers - which is the complete polar opposite of how it was run before. And yes, the writing style has most definitely changed.
So I’m applying Occam’s razor on this one.
But even is she is who she says she is, I could never stand her anyway. Nothing but a John Chow wannabe in my opinion. And that’s nothing to brag about or aspire to!

What “blogs written by girls get more attention”? I had never heard that before. Can you name a famous female blogger? Can you name a famous male blogger? Which one is the most famous?
Anyway, yes Kumiko Suzuki raises many questions. Turning off comments without any explanation? That’s very fishy if you ask me. Though she admits it herself, the blog is “Kumiko powered” (she said that in a comment on John Chow’s blog) so it does not literally mean that she writes everything or makes all the decisions.
“And that’s nothing to brag about or aspire to!”
-Being a wannabe, that is.

Marguerite Jasmin @ What “blogs written by girls get more attention”?
“CareerRamblings” can be a good answer , she use to display many pics of her in CR and her personal(now business) blog.
and can somebody tell me why calling yourself a 14 or 13 year old is popular in those affiliate blogs.
haha. That’s right. I was attracted to initially to both Career Ramblings and Cash Quests because of their profile pics :) They’re better to look at than the stereotypical geeky guy. It’s a bit like watching Jennicam even though she did nothing all day - guys are hanging onto the edge of their seats hoping she’d reveal a bit more about herself each day.
i noticed that too. no comments and the writing style seems a little different. so if its sold, the question now is who owns it, who is running it?
CashQuests is run now by a company called iEntry…check my post regarding this: http://nspeaks.com/145/cashquestscom-purchased-by-ientry/
