Is golf a rich man’s game? Do you get rich by playing golf? Do you look rich if people know you play golf? Rich = Golf? or Golf = Rich? Well, I’m covering all bases and not taking any chances - I’ve started playing golf! Here’s my cheapo beginners set I got from the bargain bin in Malaysia:
Apparently all the rich men do business while playing golf. I don’t quite understand it yet because I’m too busy looking for my ball in the trees I don’t have time for chit chats. Socialising whilst playing a sport is new to me because I’ve played basketball all my life and we usually trash talk each other’s mums … but then again, maybe that was the bball equivalent to making friends and closing deals.
Last week I scorched the course with a 49 on the back nine… (and a 62 on the front hehe). Let’s see how I go today ;)

What other activity is there for doing business? Basketball makes you too sweaty, drinking makes you drunk, lunch is too short and too crowded, dinner is too much of a date.
Golf is the only activity available where you have enough time to walk together amid great scenery, and away from the great masses who cannot afford to play in rich men’s clubs.
