Grand Idea #5: Keyword Domains

With the success of Hottest Girl Online, and Hottest Guy Online both making it to page 1 of google’s search result for their exact matching search term, I’ve decided to see if the same can work for more popular search terms. This is not something new but I wonder how much harder it is to do the same thing with some very competitive key words. Finding a quality domain is next to impossible, finding one that matches a highly searched phrase is even harder.

I’ve spent hours on domaintools and godaddy looking and I’ve come up with three to kick start this experiment.

  1. Discount Coupon Codes
  2. Ringtones For Free
  3. Maltese Dog

Would have loved for these to be .com’s but who am I kidding. I’m quite lucky to have found them as .Net’s and .Org’s. .Org’s is where I stop. I hate .ws or .biz. .Info is a maybe but only if it really is a info related term. Like if I could have gotten ringtones.info, that would have been gold!

Getting visitors from search engines is about the second best kind of visitor to have (the top one, of course, is the repeat visitor! :) ) Search engine visitors are really looking for exactly what your site has to offer and are more likely to browse around and click your google ads or affiliate links. I’ve seen this first hand with the hottest girl & guy websites.

These domains are still in the google sandbox cos they’re brand spanking new. Hopefully, it won’t take long for Google to spider and index them… and plonk them straight to the top, where they belong! hehehe.
