$3 Million Dollar Reward

Apparently 25% of people still think the King is alive. Adam Muskiewicz and some anonymous friend has put up a site ElvisWanted.com with a $3 million reward for finding Elvis! Personally, I would have thought finding Elvis was worth billions and not millions :)

Now, back to reality… a word of warning: Starting your own business can be very very ADDICTIVE! I’ve spend every waking minute now on building the website, finding a template, apache mod_rewrite rules, researching hosting companies, server management companies, posting on forums, etc.,etc., etc. I must now set myself a limit for time spent on freeserving.com. Discipline, as well as dedication, is key.

On the news front. Next month, I will be starting a new contract. The best part is that I was able to sign up as a sole-trader rather than a PAYG. This means that I’ll manage my own taxes and super and only pay the tax department once a quarter as opposed to auto extracting out of my weekly pay. I’ll also be collecting GST for the government. The GST and tax component of my invoices will go straight into my home loan offset account for a nice 7% interest saving and quicker ownership of my apartment and a faster run to the millionaire club - nice! :D
