I can’t remember how I stumbled upon this blog post but I’m glad I did.
A guy named Guy Kawasaki from Garage Technology Ventures gets the opportunity to moderate a forum of six successful webtreneurs.
- Akash Garg of hi5
- Sean Suhl of Suicide Girls
- Max Levchin of Slide
- James Hong of HotorNot
- Markus Frind of PlentyofFish
- Drew Curtis of Fark
It’s a pretty long vid so I’ve only watched about half way through. There’s a common theme about them all. They all don’t admit they have a business plan (yeah right), think it’s all happy go lucky, didn’t start with a big budget, and get their revenues from ads.
Of these six, I’ve got to be most impressed with James Hong who has an MBA but bags the crap out of the system. He’s got to be the smartest and wittiest of the group. Least impressive is Markus Frind who doesn’t seem to belong there. Is that the same shirt he wore from my other post?
