Gmail normally does a pretty good job of filtering out my spam so I’ve actually never read a paypal phishing email before. This one someone was able to bypass the google security and land in my inbox. Now I consider myself a pretty seasoned internet addict but even I was almost fooled by this:

It has come to our attention that your PayPal account information needs to be updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into any future problems with the online service.
However, failure to update your records will result in account suspension. Please update your records on or before July 27, 2007.
Once you have updated your account records, your PayPal session will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

So read your emails with care and double check the link destination… especially when its anything to do with your money!
The people who send these phishing emails to steal money off innocent people just have no morals. There are great ways to make a millions on the internet but getting there at the expense of others is just not right. How do these a-holes sleep at night?
