Just read that Darren has indeed managed to grab his dot com domain. He did it by privately contacting the owner after the eBay auction ended. He’s disclosed that the final sum was between $4000 and $7000. This Matt Winkler / 11Pixel guy must be hiding in some closet or something. First he does a lazy arse job of publicising the auction and then he lets go of it for less than $7,000.
Personally, if he had answered my email asking him what his reserve was, I would have gladly parted away with $10,000. Then I will proceed by making Darren squeeem and do my bidding for many years to come :P muhahahaha.
Nonetheless, it’s a nice bit of information to know what Darren’s budget is. If $7,000 is over it limit, it seems he must not have achieved millionaire status yet. Times must be tougher than he makes it seem with his adsense and affiliate income. :P
