Ram Island sold on eBay for $795,000

I stumbled across this eBay listing today. Some one actually put a whole island up for sale? I thought it was a fake. Who the hell owns an island? And then puts it on the market via eBay! Not surprisingly, even though it’s described as an ‘uninhabitable island’, it’s been snapped up with one bid of US $795,000. Is that a cheap price for ocean front real estate or what? You might be able to get the letter box and driveway for that price in Camberwell.

Thanks to the eBay archives, we know that the seller has just been to Burma and the buyer has just bought himself a wii to play on his new island. :)
